Terrified kayaker reveals he was chased by 360 pound MONSTER alligator in a Georgia pond

A 360-pound alligator has been trapped and killed after it chased down a terrified kayaker in Georgia on Monday. 

Bo Storey was on his vessel in a Richmond County pond when he noticed the head of the 10-foot predator emerge from the water. 

Clearly possessing an appetite, the gator made its way towards Storey's kayak, before the frantic man quickly tried to get himself to safety. 

'I just paddled and paddled, it came within probably five feet of the back of my kayak like up on a plane surging, coming at me and I just non stop paddled until I got to my truck,'  Storey told WRDW-TV. 

After escaping the clutches of the giant reptile, Storey phoned police from his vehicle to tell them of his tale.

Richmond County deputies arrived on the scene in an attempt to find and trap the gator. 

Shortly after, another man drove by and observed the situation, before he pulled over in attempt to help police poach the predator.

Robby Amerson told the cops that his friend, Trey Durant, had a tag to kill alligators from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and would be able to assist them. 

Durant came to Amerson's aid, and the two men helped the deputies in their quest to catch the gator.

After a marathon three hours, the group finally wrestled with the gigantic creature  and successfully trapped it. 

The alligator - who was clearly not afraid of humans - was then legally killed by Durant.   

The giant beast officially weighed in at 360 pounds, although its far from the biggest gator caught in Georgia this year. 

A massive 13-foot 700-pound alligator was found in an irrigation ditch near Lake Blackshear back in March.
